Cafe Review: Meraki by Yangchen (Cafe and Patisserie)
May 11, 2020
Location:Thori Plaza, opposite to Hotel Damisa, Kawajangsa
Beautiful place, perfect lighting and an amazing ambience. It has two stories with ample space outside as well. The place has a very warm vibe and is the perfect location for insta-worthy photos.
Cost: $$$$ (on a scale of $ to $$$$$)
Veggie paradise
Pork pizza
Spaghetti
Dumpling platter
Beef Tenderloin
Main course
Wide range of European cuisines to choose from. Everything was visually appealing.
The veggie paradise was delicious; two half foot sandwiches served with a side of fries and salad.
Pork sausage pizza was good despite the crust being slightly undercooked.
The spaghetti noodles were thick and had a sweet sauce. But the meatball was perfect.
The Meraki Beef Tenderloin combo and the dumpling platter were however, a disappointment; portions too less and way overpriced.
Beverages
The hot chocolate and hot vanilla milk were both served with marshmallow toppings
The vanilla milkshake was too mild and tasted more like just milk with sprinkles on it. The chocolate milkshake was much better.
The mango smoothie had a fresh fruit taste with the right amount of sweetness and bright color.
Service
It was a little slow but to be fair, we did order quite a lot.
OVERALL RATING
On a scale of 1-5 with 1 being “wouldn’t go there again unless it was the last restaurant on earth” to 5 being “would eat there everyday if I could”, would rate it a 3.5. I would go there again but more for the drinks than for their food. Also, would go back to try the desserts.
